Time to Rise
🌎The World Before the Word
It didn’t start this way.
For weeks, maybe longer, everything felt… off.
Not broken.
Just out of rhythm.
Each person carrying something different.
Heavy in their own way.
You could feel it in the room when you gathered—
not wrong, just… not settled.
Everyone still showing up.
Still doing the work.
Still moving forward.
But without that sense of alignment.
Then, without much warning, something shifts.
Not gradually.
All at once.
Breakthrough here.
Clarity there.
Peace where there had been tension.
The one who carries the weight is lighter.
The one who leads is steady.
The one who sings finds voice again.
And you’re standing in it, realizing—
this isn’t coincidence.
The Old Reflex
The old reflex is to explain it away.
Timing.
Circumstance.
A string of unrelated outcomes that happened to land together.
Or the opposite—
to chase it.
Try to recreate it.
Hold onto it.
Make it happen again.
But both responses miss something.
One dismisses it.
The other tries to control it.
Neither simply receives it.
🌿The new Covenant Posture
A living sacrifice recognizes alignment without needing to own it.
There are moments when the work beneath the surface
begins to surface all at once.
Not forced.
Not engineered.
Just… revealed.
The posture here is not control.
It is reverence.
To see it.
To honor it.
To remain grounded within it.
Because the same God who works in the unseen
also brings things into alignment in their time.
And when He does,
you don’t need to grasp it.
You just stand in it.
📜 The Word
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
📖 Ecclesiastes 3:1
The writer of Ecclesiastes reflects on the rhythms of life not as random events, but as movements within a larger order. Seasons shift—often beyond human control—but always within a framework that invites humility and awareness. If you are paying attention, I wrote about this just the other day. When things were heavy, perhaps hopeless, a few days ago, a new season will come— a time for everything emerges.
“…to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.”
📖 Ephesians 1:10
Paul describes a deeper reality at work beneath visible life—a unifying movement of God drawing things together in their proper time. What appears scattered can, under God’s hand, converge with purpose. So rejoice in all seasons!
Alignment is not manufactured.
It is revealed.
🤵 Pastoral Word
I do a prayer circle every week with a group of ministers. We’ve all been “off” recently— over many months in some cases. We care for each other, but at the same time probably feel lonely in our own season of discontent when the rest of the group is there too.
You go to the event anyway, sure that nothing has changed— but holding on to hope things will align and the “circle” will once again form.
This happens in small ways, and big ways, in our daily life, within our individual seasons. It may seem hopeless, even for those that have faith, but when we inevitably come out of is, sometimes in an instant, we always…
LEARN SOMETHING BIG!
…and when that something big happens with all the people at the same time, you know it all had purpose. For our little circle I believe it means it’s time to align. It’s time to speak to any that will hear- because your time of inspiration is just beginning.
The problem didn’t just happen to be solved— it was solved in a way so that we can see that the season we just went through mattered.
I’m about to take a course, a teaching, on the topic of resurrection. The resurrection is the goal for something likely specific— I don’t know what. I’ve been thinking about it.
But what I do know, is resurrection requires a darkness, or even a death, of some fashion.
The lesson is not how to be resurrected, or by what process we must undertake for it to occur. The lesson is to be at peace in the darkness, even thankful for it, because it truly will reveal its fruit in His time. So spread the good news as we approach Easter because more good news is yet to come.
And that revelation carries awe for the God we Love! So have peace in your season, for no matter what, the light is where it needs to be in that moment, and is probably upon you.
From Luke 17:20-24
“Being asked by the Pharisees when God’s Kingdom would come, he answered them, ‘God’s Kingdom doesn’t come with observation’; neither will they say, ‘Look, here!’ or, ‘Look, there!’ for behold, God’s Kingdom is within you.
He said to the disciples, ‘The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. They will tell you, ‘Look, here!’ or ‘Look, there!’ Don’t go away or follow after them,
for as the lightning, when it flashes out of one part under the sky, shines to another part under the sky, so will the Son of Man be in his day.”
🙏 Let's Pray
May you have eyes to recognize the moments when things come together.
When what has been scattered begins to align,
and what has been heavy begins to lift,
may you not rush past it
or try to take hold of it.
May you simply notice.
May you stand in it with quiet gratitude.
There is work that happens beneath the surface—
in hearts, in lives, in places you cannot see.
And there are moments when that work becomes visible.
Not all at once,
not often—
but enough to remind you
that you are not walking through disconnected pieces.
There is a deeper thread.
And when it reveals itself,
may you remain steady,
present,
and aware—
that what you are witnessing
is not something you created,
but something you are invited to see.
