God Changed the World without an Audience
I think it can be easily said that before the event that launched Mary into eternal celebrity, Mary knew obscurity, routine, and submission without spotlight.

Here is the scene. Mary is ordinary on purpose and, it would seem, in the perfect time and place to become part of the greatest event in human history. No doubt a time picked by God, himself.
The Angel Gabriel arrives and says, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
Mary would have been astonished, even troubled but the angel said, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.”
After the details of how this event were described, Mary, without skepticism, concern, or further questions simply said, “I am the Lord’s servant. Let it be to me according to your word.” and then Gabriel left.
Before there was salvation for the world, there was a woman who said:
“Let it be me”
God’s biggest invasions often start as private interruptions. Mary’s “yes” could not have been naive optimism or a moment of pride. Instead:
It’s Covenant Courage
Just as every disciple since has been asked the same question:
“Will you trust God before it makes sense?”
She isn’t told all the details— only the identity of the One coming:
Faith isn’t certainty about outcomes; it’s surrender to the character of God.
So, before Christ is formed in the world:
Christ was formed in Mary’s will.
All through biblical history, the Kingdom advances through surrendered wills, not impressive resumes. Mary epitomizes this.
